Camping as an Alternative Stress Relief Vacation
Camping is a neglected vacation option for many people. Those who experience a great deal of stress at work, which includes most executives, can benefit the most from a week in the fresh air. The most important benefit to over-stressed individuals is the lack of a schedule. Even at upscale hotels and spas vacation activities are scheduled. The pool opens at 9am, the massage is scheduled for 10AM, the tour bus leaves at 11am sharp, checkout is at noon, the list is endless.
When camping there are no alarm clocks, no timetables. Mother nature has no timetable except for the four seasons.
When person isn’t dropping $100 plus a day for a hotel room, there is extra money to head to a local grocery and purchase gourmet meals and wine to bring back to the campsite. What restaurant dining room could compare to eating lobster and sipping wine under the stars. Most sporting goods stores sell equipment that provides every comfort including hot showers.
Camping is what you make of it. It can be a rugged outdoor adventure with hiking and fishing, or it can be elegant and tasteful, yet utterly relaxing. The idea is to have new experiences, but eliminate the stress. This is exactly what camping can provide. It is an excellent way to become revitalized and experience nature at it’s best.
