There is no reason to pad your CV when applying for account manager jobs or even marketing assistant jobs. While it may be tempting to add a little something to your educational achievements, or explain a gap in your work history with a little white lie, this is never a good idea. The myth that employers and recruiters don’t check these facts is just that, a myth. Employers know that many people believe its okay to pad their C, and with the internet, checking facts is easier than ever.

When applying for marketing assistant jobs or account manager jobs, creativity is typically a requirement. This does not men, however that an employer is expecting you to creatively explain away the years you were in prison for committing a crime y saying your were employed by the prison system, even if you did work in the prison laundry.

Why would anyone pad, or outright lie on their CV? Anyone who has spent many months unsuccessfully looking for employment is likely to be tempted. We all need a steady income, and sometimes people get desperate. Instead of getting too creative on your CV, why not try getting creative in your job search. Have you looked online? There are numerous posting where highly desirable account manager jobs, and other marketing jobs, are just waiting to be filled.
